For over 15 years through the ministry of Women of Vision, we have hosted a powerful annual National and International Prophetic Prayer Conference, TRAVAIL, with the intention to reach, equip, empower, and encourage many men and women from different cultural backgrounds and churches to rise up in the areas of prophetic prayer and intercession. With the TRAVAIL Conference, we have endeavored to serve and advance the Kingdom with a level of excellence and protocol both to ministry guests and delegates of national and international prominence. As a result of TRAVAIL, many have returned to their nations, regions, cities, and churches with the fire of intercession on the altars of their hearts re-ignited. (Leviticus 6:11-12).
Our persuasion is, "The Church was not born in a board meeting, but in a Prayer Meeting,” where 120 people raised an altar of earth in the upper room, all with one accord and in one place. Accordingly, the fire fell, and the Church was birthed (Acts 2). We are also persuaded, "Anything that is not birthed through prayer is illegal.”
Our Vision, quite simply, is to blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound a Clarion Call to both believers and non-believers, locally, nationally, and globally (Joel 2:1). Our Vision is realized through our Mission to “Build quality people of power and Godly character to impact their generation.”
After several years of teaching and imparting the spirit of prayer and intercession to the remnant, in 2014 I heard God say, “You are to raise ‘Praying Warriors’.” Subsequently, Prayer Academy was officially formed and has partnered with many churches and ministries to co-host all-day prayer seminars in various cities all over the United States. We are not just raising “Prayer Warriors, but Praying Warriors” with the intention to reach, equip, empower, and encourage many men and women from different cultural backgrounds and churches to rise in the areas of prophetic prayer, intercession, and spiritual warfare.
With the Prayer Academy Seminars, Encounters and Retreats, we have endeavored to advance the Kingdom by equipping and empowering the Body of Christ through well developed and balanced student manuals, workbooks, and outlines in the area of prayer.
Prayer Academy Seminars comprise of 8 doctrinally sound modules, including the teacher's curriculum and student prayer manual. We have taken the Prayer Academy Seminars to over 12 cities/states domestically teaching 7 hours with activation and impartation and have plans to expand Internationally. We have trained over 10,000 students, with countless testimonies to the power of prayer in their personal lives; in raising leaders to train and equip others in their local churches and regions. We may never know how far-reaching this movement has gone. As a result of Prayer Academy Seminars, many have returned to their regions, cities, and churches with a renewed fire and passion for prayer.
Dr. Sarah Morgan has dedicated her life (over 25 years) to teaching the Word of God in the area of prayer, and equipping the Body of Christ, just as Jesus did in Luke 11:1, "As He was praying, they said 'Lord teach us to pray'."
We are embarking on another journey to obtain a permanent location for the Prayer Academy in Los Angeles, which will be the Prayer Academy University. As we know, any God-given vision is always going to be bigger than an individual; but together we can make it happen. "Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor." Ecc. 4:9
Now the time has come for us to rise and build and give birth to the legacy of prayer. This year, Prayer Academy will open the doors of Prayer Academy University. The Mandate of Prayer Academy University entails recruiting, training, activating, and deploying the prophetic and fivefold ministerial gifts into local, national, and global regions of the world to bring forth the glory of God for the dynamic transformation of men and women to demonstrate the power of God according to Matthew 28:18-20: “18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
